Trading forex, CFDs and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all your capital. These products are not suitable for all investors.
Online forex and CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. A CMA-licensed online forex broker must hold Kenyan clients’ money in a segregated client account with a bank licensed under the Banking Act of Kenya (Capital Markets (Online Foreign Exchange Trading) Regulations, 2017, regs. 16(5)(h) and 23(1)). Segregation keeps your money apart from the firm’s own funds, and the Regulations bar the firm from treating it as company assets, even if it becomes insolvent.
